Visit the Grand Canyon Visitor Center at the South Rim

The Grand Canyon Visitor Center is a popular stop on the Grand Canyon South Rim. The Visitor Center is located near Grand Canyon Village. If you drive into Grand Canyon National Park (south entrance), you will head towards the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. So, it’s impossible to miss!

What is there to do at the Visitor Center?

The Grand Canyon Visitor Center is a focal point for visitors to the Grand Canyon, and there is much to see and do. Here are a few activities and attractions you can expect:

  • The Visitor Center features an extensive information center where you can learn all about the history, geology, and ecology of the Grand Canyon. There are interactive displays, exhibits, and videos for you to watch.

  • At the Visitor Center, you’ll find a gift shop where you can buy a souvenir or something you need for your hike or camping trip. You’ll also find the Bright Angel Bicycle Rental and Café, where you can grab some refreshments and rent a bike for a cycling tour along the South Rim.

  • Free shuttle buses are available that can take you to different parts of the Canyon. This is a convenient way to see various viewpoints on the South Rim!

There is a large parking area at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center where you can easily park your car.
