The trunk of the Ford Mustang is deep and wide. We brought a suitcase of 121 liters (H 79 x W 40 x D 33 cm) and one of 78 liters (H 67 x W 35.5 x D 30 cm).
Besides these two suitcases, we also had a backpack and some loose items with us. With a bit of fitting and measuring, it all fits well. Additionally, you can also store some items on the back seat when traveling with 2 people.

You can rent a Ford Mustang at all major car rental companies in America. Keep in mind that you’re renting a car from the ‘Convertible’ class, not specifically a brand and model. When you select a Ford Mustang during the booking of your rental car, you’ll always see ‘Ford Mustang or similar’.
Requesting a Ford Mustang
Upon arriving at the rental location (often at the airport), you can choose a car in the vast parking garage full of rental cars. With luck, the garage will be full, and you can calmly pick out the Ford Mustang of your choice. If you’re unlucky, there might only be one convertible from another brand left.
TIP: Always ask at the counter for a Ford Mustang as well. Not always is one readily available in the parking garage. For us, one had to be cleaned first. Had we not specifically asked for it, we wouldn’t have been able to drive a Ford Mustang.

The Ford Mustang has 4 seats. The rear seats are very cramped, and therefore, I strongly advise against renting the Ford Mustang if you are traveling with 4 people. This also applies if you’re traveling with children. The rear seats catch a lot of wind when the top is down. Also, you might have insufficient luggage space for 4 people.
